Three characters, three fates that pursues the perfect city for five years, from 1988 to 1993, in a city dominated by the clan of Sarracino and wounded by violence, betrayal and corruption.
With cruel realism and careful historical reconstruction, but also with enthusiasm and visionary epic, Angelo Petrella said the bloody war between the clans in the districts of Naples, after the disappearance of the great historical leaders of the Camorra. Tell us about the crisis of the Communist Party, said the rebellion, despair and anger of the student movement of young people, their dreams and their revolutionary frenzy. Tell complicity between the underworld, the chieftains of politics and law enforcement. Recounts the plots of intelligence, including terrorism, organized crime and misinformation. He says that (almost) no one is innocent. Above all, says the roots of evil in a world where everyone is selling and buying.
Black on black, the city is a perfect paced novel of suspense and intrigue, which sinks into the darkest heart of Italy and makes us discover a young and already authoritative voice of our narrative.
